Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep. We recommend burning for a maximum of 4 hours each time you enjoy your candle.
How to burn candles safely
Follow the 2-foot rule. Don’t place a burning candle within 2 feet of clothing, books, curtains, or other flammable objects.
Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, and any air currents. This keeps the flame burning steadily in the center of the candle.
Trim the wick to ¼” before every burn. This helps prevent the flame from getting too large, and also cuts down on any excess soot or black smoke.
Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
Place pillar candles in candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface that is sturdy and large enough to catch any melted wax.
Always read and follow the manufacturers’ directions for use and safety, and extinguish a candle if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container.
When burning multiple candles at once, always place them at least 3 inches apart from each other.
A burning candle should never be used as a nightlight. Always extinguish any lit candles before going to sleep.
A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time, exceeding this could cause safety issues.
